Although possibly not in comfort.
Here we find an Ape which somebody decided to drive from Ratzeburg (or nearby) in Germany to Iceland. Yes, Iceland is an island, he took the ferry from Denmark. Yes, he was living in that little contraption.
Ratzeburg is in Schlewsig-Holstein which as it happens used to be Danish.

Probably more comfortable than setting up a tent on the ground, so I guess it’s all relative, depending on what his other options were.
